  1. No drama queens at your house are there! My old cat China duped one of her babysitters when I was on vacation and refused to eat her usual food. I came home to find empty salmon cans, chicken bones and an empty carton of cream. The crafty beggar ate better than I did while I was away, and she looked very disappointed when I came home because she knew the part was over. Further proof that dogs have masters and cats have staff....and personal chefs.

  4. Oh I have to keep Boy from seeing this, naughty Plum! When I was a child the family spaniel cut his paw,we all felt so sorry for him limping around and he was off his food. Then Dad bought him his own small ice cream cone from the ice cream van once or twice that week. The next week when he heard the jingle of the van he would sit in front of me putting on a heartbreakingly pleading sad expression and hold his (now fully recovered) paw up!

  5. Dear Plum,
Good strategy, but you want to watch this. Sometimes I manage to be a little sick - usually by eating grass when I don't fancy a long walk - and then my owners say: "Right, you're ill. No food for the rest of the day."
By the way, I hear on the grapevine your book is not coming out for ages. I think this is most unfair to Plum addicts everywhere. Next time you pop into your publishers, why not bite a pop star or footballer and get yourself on the front pages? Then your bite'n'tell autobiography would be rushed out within weeks.
    love, Katie x
